Conversations with Strangers feat. Dawn Wallace

Conversations with Strangers feat. Dawn Wallace
the times i love the room the most are when i am most surprised by the stranger that enters. knowing nothing about someone makes it a little hard to be surprised, but today i was surprised by Dawn Wallace.
i think what love about her is that she isn’t contained by the boxes society makes. she is someone who loves nature and is very in touch with it, left the work place to be a stay at home mom, cooks meals for her husband and kids and cleans the house, homeschools her kids, (she is expecting her third child in november) and wants to start growing her own vegetables and raise her own goats and chickens so that they are not dependent on outside sources for food.
and she sees herself as a conservative wanting less government interference in her life, the right to carry arms, she has a very well defined idea of the rule of the woman in the family, and the desire to live simply.
and she is a mother and army wife with a degree in Cultural Anthropology who spent most of her career as a journalist. Now she’s pursuing her dream as a homesteader and homeschooling her children in North Carolina. Dawn dabbles in art and spiritual practices, loves to be outdoors and is an amateur hobby naturalist. she has a podcast called The Psyche-Delic Podcast where as the resident shaman of the show brings a unique, esoteric flavor to the podcast team.
we had a great conversation. do you see why you are gonna wanna listen to this conversation
we spoke about:
nature
the woman role in the family
the law of attraction
the right to bear arms
why people get anxious
homeschooling
coved
and a whole lot more

Conversations with Strangers feat. Patrick Ratchford

Conversations with Strangers feat. Patrick Ratchford
Patrick is a kind and gentle man, everything about him shows this, from the tone of his voice to the work he does, to the way he answers questions. i knew nothing about Patrick before he came into the room, but the moment i met him i knew i was going to like him. people have an energy field and you can always tell the ones who practice some sort of practice, because their energy is instantly welcoming.
and as nice as the conversation was, and it was nice, it stayed a little impersonal. it was about teaching in a very subtle way rather than sharing from the innermost core of who he is. i mean, we just met each other, so their was no assumption that it should be one way or another, but in seeing him i saw myself some year ago,
i remember a moment when i would say hi to this woman i saw on the street ever single day and she would say hi back. two weeks into this small exchange, the woman pulled me aside and said i am really upset with you. i was shocked and asked her why. and she told me that she expected the conversation to progress, that she felt something from me that was more than just hello. i don’t think i understood that conversation until today.
everything about Patrick was open and giving but i could get feel him. and then i told a story about my own vulnerability and immediately he responded by being vulnerable too. it was beautiful shift in the conversation.
i look forward to you experiencing this shift and to also experience Patrick, he is a good man.
we spoke about:
meditation
why people are scared
the beauty that we feel underneath the shallow
happiness
the pursuit of happiness
knowing that what we want wants us 1000 times more
and a whole lot more
i think you will enjoy listening to this conversation. please let me know what you think,

there was a gentleness to this conversation. it felt like an easy conversation from the beginning. I am always intrigued by how easy it is for 2 people to come into a room, knowing nothing about each other and feel connected so quickly.
to be honest Lena is a very close friend of a woman i feel incredibly close to, but she is someone i have never seen, spoken to, but only texted with; so there was a connection.but it was all vibrational.
our conversation reflected that. Lena spoke of goddesses and spoke of experiences that might seem different to many, or not but i loved this opportunity for the listener to hear what they don’t normally hear and have the chance to see what they think and feel when someone says things we don’t understand.
i would love to hear what you feel listening to this conversation.
we spoke about:
change
business manager to shaman
like minded communities and unlike minded people
fitting in and feeling different
how everything is perfect just as it is
why people who feel different still want to fit in
giving and receiving
how hard it is for her to trust and what she does to trust more
her new youtube experience
and a whole lot more

Conversations with Strangers feat. Jeffrey Bryan

Conversations with Strangers feat. Jeffrey Bryan
so how synchronistic is this. we are now watching Kobra Kai, which is the continuing story of the Karate Kid and while i am talking to Jeffrey, he tells me he was in Karate Kid. a lot of his character was removed in the editing of the movie, but he was there every day for 8 months during the filming. he had acted in other movies, even getting the lead part n one, but he never felt he was supposed to be an actor. he was a musician and when he sand he felt his whole being was different. for the last few years, he has been part of the band Survivor. you may remember them from the song “Eye of the Tiger”, yet Jeffrey told me they also had a song in the movie Karate Kid.
it is a small world.
the appointment for this conversation was ade by jeffrey’s wife April, who also appeared on the show, and Jeffrey was a little confused at first because all the podcast he has been on, people talk to him about his career, his music and the band Survivor. i told him, i am not interested in what you do, i am more interested in who you are.
he was uncertain if our conversations would fill up an hours worth of time and i just said to him, lets see what happens. i did not even get through a third of my questions. there was plenty to talk about.
we spoke about:
the way of the creative
balance
the need to be both inward and outward
living in the moment
having things we want to achieve
trust
the hit record he still wants to have
playing to stadiums of 20,000 people and how Covid has shut that down
i think you will enjoy listening to this conversation. please let me know what you think.

Conversations with Strangers feat. April Bielefeldt

By Conversations
Conversations with Strangers feat. April Bielefeldt
we spoke about:
the masculine and feminine principle
how relationship work when both people find this place
her photography
her husband and the band he is in
introvert and extroverts
it was such a nice conversation, i dont want to say to much more, i just want you to listen to it
what was beautiful about this conversation was the change that happened moments after we began. April sees her role in life as someone who supports and bud the work of the ones she loves. she is a gifted photograph and yet, that is less important to her than being there to support them and lift them up.

jeremy came into the room as if he was on fire. full of energy and powerful. at first i didn’t really know what to do, becasue this show is not about the business guy, it is an opportunity to go beyond the guy who does what he does to the one who does it.
it is interesting to see when a person is so much the work they do, there is often no separation between whether are and what they do. i often think my mind moves faster than most, but in this room i was left in the smoke. Jeremy is brilliant and he has worked on the presentation of who hi is so much, it should amazing.
the only thing is that i didn’t feel him, so said something to him.
and to his credit he was able to shift on a dime. he shared with me in an email later, that he is still mulling things over and is going t spend the evening quiet to allow the space to hear more. thesis a rare and beautiful quality to see someone not being defensive and just receiving information, especially someone who lives in the persona of teacher.
my hats is off to you for the way you showed up in the room Jeremy Roadruck.
we talk about:
fearless and fear
protection by hiding
learning how t protect himself so that he is not scared
belief systems
games and stories
bring empty and receiving
and a whole lot more

i thoroughly enjoyed this conversation. soften people my age are old and crusty and set in their ways, Sheila Stone is none of these things. Her spirit is fresh and alive. she runs a travel business that has been halted by the corona virus but she is anding new way to enjoy life.
i found her to have a beautiful mind and she spoke very openly and honestly about how much harder it is for a woman to get older than it is for a man.
have a listen and enjoy, the beautiful young spirit of the lovely woman.
we talk about:
always being excited by change
doing new things and meeting new people
getting older
how hard it is for woman to live u to the expectation
outer beauty and inner beauty
i made a called out to all single men who are interested to contact Sheila
and a whole lot more

there is an energy about a person that says so much abut who they are. do you feel that too? the minute Lucie Lynch came into the room, she was present. her energy was friendly and ready and i could feel that this was going to be a great conversation.
every conversation is a great conversation in my Conversations with Strangers series, and this one felt like i was talking to someone i had known for years, but i did not know Lucie for years, met her only moments before in the green room.
you will hear multiple times where i invite you the audience to participate by becoming a part of the conversation and there is even a time that i ask you to take out your journal and start to writ your thoughts. this is a beautiful conversation, packed with tidbits that can be applied from the moment you hear them.
we talk about:
being too much
and being not enough
and feeling too much and not enough at the same time;
the brilliance of the mind that traps us into staying small;
being stopped in her tracks by the coronavirus
and how she reinvented herself,
how the desire to lift people up out of their pain is so beautiful
and how it might also be ok to allow them to go through their pain
and find their own way out.
and we talked about trust and the ability to receive.
you do not want to miss this conversation, it is packed and full of love.
i love the note Lucie sent me after our call:
“What a beautiful blessing this was.
Divinely timed and received with my whole heart.
Thank you for creating such a safe space
to show up and be too much and enough at the same time! 🙂

from the moment she entered the zoom room, i could feel her openness and friendliness. she was kind and communicative, and told me in the green room, nothing about this scares me and i am an open book, nothing is hidden. i knew we were going to have a great conversation.
imagine my surprise when a little later she told me that she has some issues with social anxiety when she is one on one with a person in real life. as if reading my mind, she answered the question that was coming to my lips saying, “over the computer i am fine, i don’t have that social anxiety but in person it is a different story.”
something else really surprised me CJ before she retired spent 20 years in the Air Force. honestly, i didn’t see that coming. and when i asked her, “what excites you?” she answered, “waking up each morning.”
there is so much in this conversation that i look forward to you hearing, but most of all, what i love is how 2 strangers, one a military person, the other a recovering hippie can sit together and feel so close to each other, not just in philosophy but in resonance.
you must hear this conversation and let me know what you think.

i knew nothing about Cellin except that we went to the same college. Founded in 1963, Pitzer College is a top-ranked liberal arts and sciences college. The College emphasizes environmental and interdisciplinary studies, the arts, humanities and social, behavioral and natural sciences. With approximately 1,000 students, Pitzer College is part of The Claremont Colleges – a unique consortium of five undergraduate colleges and two graduate institutions. The contiguous campuses share numerous programs and facilities. At Pitzer, students have access to all the resources of a major university while enjoying all the benefits of a liberal arts college experience and its personalized approach to education.
but we didn’t know each other at Pitzer either. Cellin took only 2 classes there while taking the rest of his course load at the consortium of the other colleges in the Claremont College family. i, too, took only a couple of classes at Pitzer, choosing instead to take advantage of the freedom they gave us to create our own curriculum. having taken all the courses i need to get my undergraduate degree i dropped out after two years and on my 18th birthday, put my thumb out and hitchhiked around the world.
Cellin entered into the world of film, becoming an associate director and then the executive director of a series of films.
hear our talk about Pitzer, about being born in japan but never being considered japanese, our conversation on the corona virus and being forced into quarantine the moment he entered canada, and a whole lot more. we did not agree on everything, but this felt like 2 college guys sitting together with a nice glass of scotch having a conversation. i hope you love being a fly on the wall and hearing what we say.
