there is something magical that happens when 2 story tellers sit together. story tellers see the world differently, i am convinced of that and there is a beauty in the conversation that follows as tami is a beautiful story teller and it was my pleasure to listen to her speak and share her stories with me/us.

it is always nice to receive an email after each show whee people thank you for having them on.  with tami belt, i felt like i met a friend. i feel this a lot with the people that come into my room, but something about the fact that we are both story tellers made me feel immediately closer to her. and i learned a lot from her in our conversation. you will have to listen to this to hear what i heard!

it always interests me and surprises me who i will find in my zoom room and how the conversation will start. because i have done this a lot of times now, i have put together a series of questions that help to shape the conversation with the thought that one day perhaps i will make a documentary that will use all of these conversations to share with the world what people are saying.

it was great to meet andrew and to feel his enthusiasm and vigorous to live his life by the guidelines of getting out of debt. he has almost a religious- like fervour to do this and help others do the same. what is interesting to me is when i ask people what if what they believe is not true, i like to see what happens.

this was one of the conversations on paper that was never supposed to happen. i replied to a post on a podcast guest page the matt had posted saying something to the effect of, “i am a christian and i would like to interview guest that have different belief systems and have a respectful argument together.”

i thought this would be fun, having been one day away from being ordained a rabbi and having been a minute in a yoga community who believed in christ, bt not as the church believes in him, but never heard back.

sometime later matt contacted me and said he had heard 50 conversations and would like to have a conversation with me. i, of course said yes, becausee everyone is welcome into the conversation. you have to hear for yourself what followed. i guarantee you, you will be interested in this conversation. please let me know . . .

there was resonance from the moment we came into the room. perhaps it was because i had already had a conversation with her husband, Jachym Jerie, perhaps it was because there was a natural connection, whatever the reason, the conversation flowed freely.

this was the third time, a partner from a previous conversation joined me in the zoom room and i have to say, i love having this happen. she spoke of the ability to feel people and to the healing that happens not in the words that are spoken or the action that are taken but in the sheer presence of another human being. i completely understood her as it is also the work that comes through me. i felt spirit bless this conversation, but rather than me speak of it here, tune into the show and see what you feel.

50 Conversations with 50 Strangers with Stephen McCamman

this was one of those conversations that was a pleasant surprise. i had no idea who this man was and when he came into the zoom room, he was smoking a cigarette and seemed a bit unsettled. he was moving around his trailer and we lost connection a couple of times and so i started to think, ok this one may not work out to well, but i was committed to get through my first impressions and have a conversation together with stephen.

and am i happy i did. he is brilliant, opinionated and i found out after i spoke to him that he went to the same college i went to, Pitzer College, a small very cool college that focused in the days on psychology, anthropology and the arts. we were not there during the same years, but the fact that we shared the same college was fascinating to me.

this is a conversation where stephen speaks his mind and if you find offence at anything he says, i would invite you to take a look at what it brings up in you. it took a while for us to get past the intellectual answers and get real, but we did, and this conversation is well worth hearing.

i could have asked him where he was from, i mean it would have made sense to do so, but somehow the delight and charm of his accent and the words he chose to say had a charm and flair to them that i didn’t want to ruin it by knowing exactly where it came from, because it didn’t matter. but i knew this, it was in the UK somewhere and i loved the idea that these conversations were spanning continents.

we had a very real and vulnerable conversation around watching life continue and making changes, the brand of Mighty Pete that got developed and pete allowed me to push him on his definitions so that i cold enter understand what he was saying. i wonder how much of what we disagree on comes down to semantics anyway.

this is a conversation i think you will enjoy not only because the information shared was extremely interesting but rather because of the way we got to a place of listening from very different directions. he invited me to be on his podcast too and gosh, i could tell you more, but it would rob you of the experience of just seeing for yourself what happened. all i can say after all of these conversations, this zoom room is a magical room where strangers become friends, start to work together and who knows what else will start to happen when we listen to each other and allow ourselves the chance to connect

you have to always like when after a show, the person you had the conversation sends you a message like this:

“Thank-you Danny for a great conversation and it was an honour to speak with yourself. You have reignited a Fire In My Belly about doing what I do, so thank you for listening and keep being you!”

look, sometimes things go differently than you assume they will. and the beautiful thing is, when they do, there is a reason they do and the conversation is incredible. i met ruth through claudia, someone who was a stranger a few days ago. claudia come into the magic zoom room and instantly we felt this incredible connection, and true to form in even just the briefest moments on texting each other to arrange this conversation, i felt like i had known ruth for 1000 years.

she felt so close to me that i said to her that i cannot have anymore conversations until we have our official stranger conversation because being an empath, i felt too much and wanted to be able come into the room with her as a stranger.

ruth is a psychotherapist and shared with me how different it was for her to be the one answering questions, as in her work she is the one asking the questions. what came through this conversation was powerful and deep and beautiful and confusing and . . . well i think you are going to have to listen to it to understand what i am saying. i loved this conversation and think you will too.

sometimes, the person that shows up in the zoom room is not the one who signed up for the conversation. it wasn’t that jeff didn’t want to have the conversation, but rather that his wife signed him up for this. i didn’t know it when we started but i started to feel like that was the case a couple minutes into our conversation.

it was the first time i had a married couple on and they went one right after the other. it was sort of fun to see some of the same things from a different perspective. jeff was a great guest. he is an actor and has a movie production company. his way was his own way and i greatly appreciated that and i loved hearing his perspective. he loves structure and feels free for the most part within it, but to hear more of our conversation, you are going to have to listen in

50 Conversations with 50 Strangers with Danni DanDan Gadigan

as i have said before, when i come onto the zoom room for these conversations, i never quite know who i am going to meet, but in full transparency, i felt Danni before met her. there is an innocent excitement that lies in her, a genuine heart felt love that pours from her that could almost not contain itself in its desire for us to meet and have this conversation.

her heart is huge and i could feel it from the first moment we started corresponding, and i had to say to her i know way too much about you from what i feel already as i like to know nothing about a person before i meet them in the zoom room. but that was not the case with Danni, i felt her deeply and i could tell she felt me too. no words were expressed and when we entered the room togehter the energy was high. i am seeing more and more, this is what happens when 2 empaths meet.

Danni could hardly contain the tears that flowed from her and this release was so beautiful and i could feel there were more tears inside her that wanted to come out and so throughout the course of our conversation, several times her tears came; and yet it was not awkward or strange but actually quite calming and beautiful as if we were witnessing what was happening together.

for those of you who have trouble feeling, there are people like my wife Ana Levin (AnaLauraLevin.com) and Danni that feel so naturally that just by being in their presence we can’t help but feel more. i hope if you do not feel this world the way you want to, that you will contact Danni (or my wife Ana) to see how to open your heart and feel more. I know Ana does this work, i am not sure yet if Danni knows this is the work she can do.
